We believe, preach, and practice the fundamentals of God’s Word. Our church is a place for teaching, preaching, and worship that encourages a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Prayer, God-honoring music, family ministry, and sharing the gospel are central to our life together. We want God to receive the glory in everything we do.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God: born of a virgin, living without sin, dying for our sins, and rising bodily from the grave.

Salvation is God’s gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ. His finished work is sufficient; our good works cannot earn salvation.

We believe in the local church, believers’ baptism by immersion, and the Lord’s Supper. We gather to worship, grow, and share the gospel.

Michael Johnston.
A heart for people.
Pastor Michael Johnston became the pastor of Open Door in February 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Ministry, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and has received an honorary Doctorate of Theology.
He also serves as secretary on the board of Prayer Baptist Missions International. Pastor Mike and his wife, Crystal, have three children and three grandchildren.
